Exam Invigilator, New Plymouth, New Zealand

VICTVS is looking to recruit a confident and assertive individual in New Plymouth, New Zealand.  Prospective applicants for the Exam Invigilator vacancy should be able to travel to Strandon, New Plymouth.  Flexibility on Fridays is essential, as most sessions are held then.  Ideally, applicants will be within one hour commute of the area.  Travel expenses are not provided.

Working Hours:
Examination sessions last for 5-8 hours and invigilators receive around 10 days’ notice on upcoming invigilator assignments.  Due to the nature of this work, flexibility is required.  Please note, this work is offered on a freelance or contractor basis and is not a full-time position.

Rates: $30 NZD per hour

Role Description: All training for exam invigilators will be delivered online and remotely.  The successful applicant will oversee professional, high-stakes examinations for adult candidates.  They will oversee and supervise candidates during written examinations.  The role requires that all procedures and instructions are followed, in order to protect the integrity and security of the examinations and examination materials.

• Preparation of assessment room and examination materials
• Recording and checking candidate identification
• Distributing the examination materials
• Completing examination and candidate documentation
• Receiving and returning examination materials
• Communicating the examination process and instructions to all candidates
• Ensure examinations are carried out in accordance with our specified instructions and standards

None required, however experience as an invigilator or equivalent is preferred.
